Bizarre Parking Enforcement Reported @ Farragut Square (July 9)

Thanks to DC Food Truck Photographer for reporting that all of the trucks on the east side of Farragut Square were ticketed this morning for parking too close to each other (within 3 feet of each other, measured from bumper-to-bumper).  Apparently, a meter attendant had a tape measure and if two trucks were parked within 3 feet of each other, they received tickets.  Bizarre!  One has to wonder if this an actual rule, or if DPW is making stuff up?

Where To Find DC Food Trucks On The 4th Of July @elFuegoDc

I’ve received a few emails from fans wondering if, and where, DC food trucks will be serving on the 4th of July.  I dug into the FTF database to see what happened in 2012: while most food trucks took the day off, about a dozen trucks served in the SW Waterfront, L’Enfant Plaza and at 14th & Constitution as well as Crystal City and various private parties in MD & VA.

So, if you are hinging your plans on a DC food truck lunch for the 4th, your best bet would be to head to L’Enfant Plaza or the Waterfront.  El Fuego has already announced that they will be serving at L’Enfant tomorrow. 🙂

Have a great holiday!
