A new Korean BBQ truck is on its way to Washington, DC! Expected to open in about 4 weeks, AZN Eats serves a simple menu of great Korean BBQ, including Kalbi, Bulgogi and Teriyaki. Check their page for more information and a link to their menu!
How does a 6 oz corned beef and pastrami sandwich sound right about now? 🙂 The Corned Beef King plans to start serving on August 10, 2011 in Montgomery County, MD!
They will be serving (deep breath, this is a long sentence) slow roasted pastrami and corned beef, baking their own rye and will be serving home made meat knish, Nathans hot dogs Reuben dogs, Reuben’s, a sandwich called the new yorker split dog at the bottom with grilled pastrami provolone slaw and Russian on grilled rye, a veggie Reuben with Marinated eggplant, zucchini, squash melted ovoline mozzarella topped with slaw and cream cheese on grilled 7 grain, redskin dill potato salad, homemade coleslaw, assorted chips, pickles and, you know, are still debating on 3/4 onion rings and fries (depending if they add a fryer to the truck). Also, they’ll have Dr browns soda on-board the truck.
Serving areas include Bethesda, Wheaton and Potomac, and they are always looking for more suggestions.
Starting with yesterday’s lunch, Tasty Kabob is serving from two trucks! Today they are at Navy Yard and Waterfront in the District.
Also, Tasty Kabob has two carts that serve out of Rosslyn from the same locations every day: 1525 Wilson and 1735 Wilson.
UPDATE: Ok, the official word is that it is @cajunators!
I am seeking clarification on the exact twitter feed for the Cajunatas / Cajunator food truck that was just announced. It appears that there are two accounts setup for this truck. One is @cajunators and the other is @cajunAtas. How confusing!
Have you noticed some odd things going on with the Dangerously Delicious Pies trucks lately? 🙂 They launched a second pie truck which is a nice red color and operates under the new twitter user ThePieTruckDC (seen at Truckeroo #2 last Friday). Then, last week, the older black pie truck (operating under the dcpietruck twitter id) seemed to be getting a face lift. They posted this pic to their Twitter stream where all identifying logos on the truck were painted over. For a couple of days, the profile pic of that dcpietruck account was also changed to a colorful logo with the word “Cajunator” written on it.
Low and behold, there is a twitter account already setup for the new upcoming Cajun & Creole cuisine food truck: cajunAtas! (see below)
UPDATE: There were two feeds setup for this truck. The official one is most likely @cajunators.
This past week, Food Truck Fiesta officially turned 1 year old! It’s amazing to think how far this site has come in just one year. I’ve watched the DC food truck scene grow from under 10 food trucks to over 70, seen the day when Farragut Square was too full to accommodate any more food trucks and am starting to see the food truck revolution blossom in the suburbs.
I think we have another action packed year ahead of us and I can’t wait to share it all will the thousands of my closest Food Truck Fiesta friends. 🙂 Thank you all for continuing to support the website and thanks for the love!

From 11am-11pm today and the navy yard/ballpark metro (Half and M St SE)
Truckeroo is today, July 15, at Das Bullpen across from the Navy Yard/Baseball Stadium metro station (Half & M St SE)! About 20 food trucks will be on site all day from 11am – 11pm! There are plenty of picnic tables, games and live music for all to enjoy. Admission is free!
Curious as to what it will be like? Check out my recap in photos from the first Truckeroo!
Note: Don’t be scared off by the ID check at the front gate as that is only for people wanting to enjoy adult beverages. The evening atmosphere is very family friendly and I lost count of how many families I saw at the first Truckeroo.
A new Mexican food truck has been lurking this week and is now public! It looks like the former Gloria Mexicana truck morphed into Best Mexican Burritos and Tortas.
