Kimchi BBQ Taco is a Korean-fusion truck that plans on launching in early November. They plan on operating in DC for lunch and in Tyson’s Corner in VA for dinner. It is great to see a new truck that has solid plans for lunch AND dinner service! See more info on their page.

Kraving Kabob is one of the flashiest kabob trucks to enter the DC food truck scene.  It is so refreshing to see new trucks embrace the branding of their truck so that fans won’t have any problem spotting them – just check out that truck wrap!  Monday (Oct 17, 2011) was their first day serving and they were at Metro Center. Enjoy! 🙂

Next week on Wed, Oct 19, DC’s Social Media Club is hosting an panel of speakers for their monthly event, titled I’m Only On Twitter For The Food Trucks.  Three food truck owners (Red Hook Lobster Pound, Curbside Cupcakes and The Big Cheese) will be speaking about their experiences with social media.  Food trucks’ use of social media is essentially the case study for how it should be done, so this talk will be very informative!

This week’s regularly scheduled Farragut Friday is being relocated to 20th & H St NW (GWU campus) for Truckapalooza!  What does that mean?  About 20 DC Food Truck Association trucks will be on-site during lunch time (approx. 11am – 2pm) and I’m hearing rumors about GW closing off the street to traffic.

A new DC food truck, rather a juice truck, is launching in a few weeks!  It is called Juice Revolution and will be permitted in the District and Arlington.  More info, pics and menu details can be found on their page.

Thanks to LOWswimmer for the tip & pic showing Maui Wowi serving at Farragut Friday today! Maui Wowi tweeted a couple of days ago that they secured their DC permit, but did not tweet any locations as of yet. This is probably a soft-opening.  More info is on their page.
