UPDATE: The Food Truck Association reported to me that more than $1,700 was raised at the last Truckeroo for victims’ families and those injured in the Navy Yard shooting. The funds have been sent to the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region to administer to the families.

The Washington Post’s Tim Carman published an article noting how the government shutdown is negatively affecting DC food truck businesses. And, today’s rain is definitely not helping matters! However, there are plenty of food trucks serving today and some trucks are equipped with awnings to shelter you while you order & wait to pick up your delicious lunch. 🙂
South Meets East, from the creator of Feelin’ Crabby (and other successful food ventures in DC), launched Monday (10/7) at Union Station. Menu details can be found on their page!
