Friday’s Truckeroo Food Trucks Raising Funds for Families of Navy Yard Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC – Food trucks at Friday’s Truckeroo festival will be raising funds for victims’ families and those injured in September’s Navy Yard shooting. “We’re all part of the DC community,” said Ryan Kim, co-owner of the SUNdeVICH food truck and brick-and-mortar restaurant and the fundraiser organizer. “We know our Navy Yard customers on a first-name basis. We’re here to show our love and support for our neighbors, friends and co-workers,” Kim said. Donations collected at Truckeroo will be given to the Community Foundation for the National Capital Region to be administered to the families. Truckeroo is 11 am to 11 pm at Half Street Fairgrounds at Half and M Street SE (Navy Yard metro).
