A couple of updates for Truckeroo fans this evening!

Navy Yard metro closes at 10pm

WMATA is closing the Navy Yard metro station at 10pm, and since most of us get to and from Truckeroo via Metro, many food trucks may be closing up at that time.

$1 Venue Entry Fee

What was advertised as a “suggested donation” turned into a required $1 entry fee and came as a shock to me and every Truckeroo fan at the entrance.  I confirmed that the required fee was instituted by the venue operator (Georgetown Events), not by the DC Food Truck Association.  According to the flyer, the money will be donated to Greenleaf Recreation Center in Southwest DC.

I also received reports of people being denied entry because they did not have single dollar bills and the venue would not make change from larger bills.   You can read more user-contributed comments on my earlier post.
