This morning (6/18), the DC Council Votes on New Food Truck Regulations! The food truck association requests your help in amending the current version of the regs (see message below).

The meeting begins at 11 am, and food truck regulations  — “Vending Regulation Second Emergency Declaration Resolution of 2013” — is approximately in the middle of the agenda.

Tell DC Council to Amend Food Truck Rules for Fairness and Clarity

Dear Food Truck Friends,

Thanks to you, today the DC City Council will vote on a revised set food truck regulations. However they are missing a couple of critical components: 1) Eliminating a crippling $2,000 fine for parking at an expired meter and 2) clear and transparent criteria for creating and removing lottery-assigned locations.

Will you tell DC Council to amend rules for clarity and fairness right now?

Food trucks support fair rules based on objective criteria. Which is why we are asking DC Council to make food truck parking fines the same as other vendors and to establish simple and transparent rules for how Mobile Roadway Vending Locations are created.

Tell DC Council right now to put clarity and fairness in the rules:
