Last Friday night, PORC Mobile (Purveyors Of Rolling Cuisine) tweeted the excellent news that they will be opening a brick & mortar restaurant in Columbia Heights!  The address is 3412 11st St NW and Prince of Petworth has some nice photos of the building.  They are a bit noncommittal on the exact opening date, which could be as early as Spring 2012. 🙂

I do hope that the DC Council and Mayor are paying attention to this.  There has been a flood of food truck owners that, after a year or two of mobile service, are opening brick & mortar restaurants.  It will also be interesting to see how many of these food truck restaurateurs join the RAMW (Restaurant Association) after being on the receiving end of their anti-food truck actions.
