Friday, July 13 is Cow Appreciate Day and anyone dressing up as a cow (fully or partially) will received free food.

A new truck, Tokyo In The City, will be serving Japanese and Korean Bento Boxes in 1 – 2 months (in the District)!  It is the sister truck to Wassub, which has been in operation for a little over 1 month.  Click here for more info + links.

Today, July 2, Members of the DC Food Trucks Association will be donating bottled water, drinks and food to storm victims today at the following locations:

What the Pho? launches today at Metro Center. 🙂  Here are more details.

There are just a handful of tickets left for Friday’s Poutine party at Rhino Bar in Georgetown (7pm – 10pm), AKA the return of the Eat Wonky food truck.  Here is the complete info.

Just a note to fans of the red Indonesian truck, named Sate.  They have begun to tweet locations and are at Farragut today!  More info is here.

A new sandwich truck has started up in Montgomery County, named Growlers Slamwich.  It is the mobile version of the restaurant, located in Gaithersburg.  They’ve had a couple days of service and, hopefully, they will ease into a more regular schedule.  I’m sure some fan requests will draw them out to your office buildings. 🙂

Attention, food truck fans at Metro Center!  Phonation launches today in your area.  More info can be found on their page.

The event flyer lists the event name, boldly, as A Taste of Two Cities, Baltimore vs. DC.  It’s a match-up between 20 DC food trucks and 20 Baltimore food trucks – prior to the Nat’s vs. O’s baseball game.  But, I’m conflicted.. Should I get in the spirit by with some Baltimore-bashing in this post? 🙂  One question may pop into your head, “Does Baltimore even have 20 food trucks to match up with any of DC’s ~ 140 trucks?  The answer is that Baltimore has just enough trucks to supply the 20 needed for competition.

Date/Time: June 23 from 11am – 7pm
Where: Westport Waterfront (map)
What: 20 DC food trucks and ALL of Baltimore’s food trucks in one place 🙂
What else? There’s a Nat’s/O’s game at 7:15pm @ Camden Yards
