Just a reminder that the DCRA food truck lottery results are being implemented for the first time today (Dec 2). More info is here. According to my analysis, there should be a slight reduction in food trucks serving in the highest demand areas. Let me know via the comments or via email what your experience is this week!

Definitely fewer trucks at Metro Center this a.m.
Only 14 trucks at Farragut today (Monday). 3 of them were bimbimbap.
.@foodtruckfiesta not sure how I feel about only getting the same trucks all month. Also lots of franklin/metro center repeats.
This sucks. It makes me want to drive to Virginia to get lunch. It certainly doesn’t make me want to eat at any DC restaurants who were behind this “why are you fixing what’s not broken” change.
Day 2 @ Navy Yard… and 3 trucks hadn’t bothered to “check in” on the tracker.
Pro: Hopefully won’t have 3 kabob trucks, 2 taco trucks & whoever can squeeze in
Con: Lot less variety.
Guess my bank account will be happier with more leftovers coming to work with me.
A significant decrease here at the Navy Yard Metro Station. I would estimate half the previous average, and all on the Transportation Department side of M Street.
L’enfant has been kind of a dud. None of the favorites seem to be scheduled for the week and there is way less variety. Lots of kabob and taco trucks.
“Mostly kabob & taco trucks”
Sadly, I think that’s what are the majority of the trucks, period.
I know pre-lottery at Navy Yard, it was typical to have 2-3 kabob, 1-3 taco trucks, then whoever else had been able to grab a spot.
I like knowing who’s going to be available… but seeing the same “brand” coming to the same spot multiple days, not liking.
I.E. “Sub brand A truck1” Mon @ WNY, “Sub brand A truck2” @ WNY on Wednesday.
