Many of you many have noticed that some truck names turn gray in color on the sidebar list. This is automatically done when the truck hasn’t tweeted for several days and it should help us all recognize when a truck is on vacation or if it decided to stop serving altogether. The truck names go back to maroon in color as soon as they start tweeting again.
Some trucks have stopped serving for almost 1 year while just a couple of other trucks decided not to use their social media accounts anymore. Most of these trucks have been moved out of the active food truck list, including:
- Capital Empanadas
- Love Bites
- Juive Revolution
- Dippin Dots
- Salt And Pepper Grill
- Growler’s Slamwich
- Sweetflow Mobile
- Sweet Fleet
- Solar Crepes
- KrazyKlaws

This is an excellent idea! thanks for doing this.
To be honest, there’s a lot of truck I have seen on the list that I have never seen on the road, yet alone tweet… but putting that aside.
However, the gray text is all but too light to read against the white background, and one were trying to find a certain truck just to read its entry page, they would have to estimate where that truck is on the page, then highlight the text just to read it.
I don’t see a couple of announced trucks on the sidebar – The Aahhs truck (although I’m not sure if they are serving anymore) or BONMi.
SHASHINKA: Thanks for that feedback, I’ll darken the gray text!
JAKE: Thanks! BonMi was still on the coming soon list (now moved) and the Aahs have just been added. You’re right, they do seems to be MIA – I’ll investigate.
…and while you’re at it, the ‘Coming Soon’ list could use a little updating as well – a few of the trucks listed there have been there for as long as I can remember!
TOSHI: You are totally right. There are a few trucks that have been coming soon since 2011, like Cupcake Buggy and Rolling-wit-Burgers. I don’t really know what to do with them, other than de-listing.
